CANCER

I came
And then
Silently and quietly I stood
Above your bed

I looked, how you are asleep
From your beautiful eyes
More beautiful than all
The beauties of the world

Pain and fear shone
And I kept standing
Motionless
At your bedside

And I didn’t know
If you sleep or
Or you’re already dead
Sweet dreams

And I was thinking
If you stay on
With me in the room
Or maybe you’re left already

In my thoughts
The image travels
For those days
When we were happy

Sooner or later
You’re leaving me anyway
But please not yet
Not now

You’re lost in front of my eyes
Your face is white
Like …… like death
Why you, why us ?!
